This listing is for an Audio-Technica AT15XE moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge with its original (genuine) AT XE elliptical stylus. Please view all photos carefully, as theyre better descriptors than my writing. Microscope photos of stylus and tapered cantilever clearly show condition. I recently added an additional photo with definitions of nude (versus bonded), square shank, and elliptical (vs a variety of other shapes). For a MM cartridge, the AT15XE is hard to beat. I estimate 100 hours of total use based on playing up to 150 LP records x 40 minutes per LP = 6000 minutes = 100 hours. (A well-maintained stylus should last 1000 hours.) I doubt I played this many LPs from start-to-end; its more likely to be 80-100 LPs and fewer than 100 hours. Please refer to photos for this XE styluss condition. In other instances, buyers were simply incompetent: Equipment was damaged because these buyers did not know how to properly use or handle it; yet, they wanted refunds because of the damage they had caused. Bottom line: No returns! If the wrong item is shipped or if their is a gross oversight on my part (I have yet to do either of these), I will promptly refund or exchange the item and pay for return shipping. Regarding sensitive electronic equipment: I encourage all viewers to compare my listings to other sellers listings and photos: If a printed circuit board is placed on anything other than an ESD mat, then the seller doesnt know how to exercise appropriate ESD precautions. Many electronic components are easily compromised or destroyed due to improper handling. I use appropriate ESD protection measures when handling static-sensitive equipment. Items that are ESD sensitive will be shipped in anti-static wrapping. I do not entertain best offers, nor do I end auctions early. Used Audio Technica AT15XE cartridge. Made in Japan. No stylus. This cart tests 477 ohm on the left channel and 472 ohm on the right channel and has no continuity issues between pins which means it should function properly. Please view all photos. This cartridge was in with a bunch of albums I purchased from a collectors estate. I cannot test it so it is being sold as is. I did ohm across the pins and both sides read the same. Yellow and blue then red and green. If that means anything.

Audio Technica AT 15XE Cartridge and Stylus professionally mounted on a Technics headshell. This is another one of my cartridges that was in my regular rotation several years ago. The stylus has 130 hours and sounds exceptional. At one time I had 7 or 8 cartridges that I precisely mounted on headshells using a 52mm Technics overhang gauge. I would swap out different cartridges for different types of music to acquire different sounds. This one is mounted using all aluminum hardware and the whole package is as close to perfect as it gets! All you need to do is screw this on the end of your tonearm, set tracking force (i prefer 1.5 grams with this one), and enjoy your music. The white overhang gauge in the pics is not included.
