Clearing out time, I no longer do much listening, so time to move this wonderful amp to a new home. Tubes have about 50 hours on them. It performs flawlessly, no hum or hiss just dead silent. Very nice cosmetics with maybe a tiny spot hear or there but basically very very clean. Has sub out which I find very useful. No remote, I use an old Logitech universal remote if I feel lazy. I will include a copy of the owners manual, schematic and parts list. And dont forget, it is a bit old, but Audio Research is built like a tank, weighs in over 40 ponds. Great sounding amp. Audio Research VSi60 integrated amplifier in excellent condition. I purchased it gently used 7 years ago with about 100 hours of use on the tubes according to the previous owner. I put an additional 100 hours into them and really, really enjoyed every bit of audio I ever put through this machine. However, when I moved to NYC a little over 5 years ago, I had to consolidate a lot of my audiovisual equipment into a single room instead of having the luxury of dedicated audio space...so this unit has sat safely in storage within my apartment for the past 5 years or so. Despite what on its face may seem like a fairly modest output power (50Wpc), this integrated amp REALLY excels with low impedance speakers and is a very handsome centerpiece for an audio setup that doesnt have unlimited cabinet space for a more complex setup. Stereophile and several other outlets still have their pre-release reviews published online if youd like more information about how they perform. This unit will come with its original remote (as pictured), its original users manual, and will ship in its very secure original box. It will come with the included extra fuses as well as all of its tubes in an additionally lined and secured box inside. I was holding out hope that my situation might change over the past 5 years and I would be able to justify setting this up again—especially since units like these come on the secondary market less and less every year, and tubes havent gotten easier to replace in more thoroughly used units in the future—but at this point I really want someone else to enjoy this instead of having it go unappreciated in storage. Wonderful amp! I have years of history with ARC and this is the best ARC integrated I’ve ever heard, and one of the best pure amps of any variety I’ve ever had in house. I purchased this amp brand-new/sealed in April from an authorized ARC dealer, and as you can see have <200 hours on it since. I love the amp, but haven’t used tubes in my main home system for a number of years, and it has been a real annoyance to the rest of my family, who don’t want to deal with warmup—they just want to click and go. I’ve been using it on weekends, switching back to SS for the week when they are more likely to use it without me being around, but I think it’s best to move back to SS full time. I don’t have room for a 2nd system, so to the next owner it goes. Absolutely as-new, with the new ARC cerakote remote to boot. Includes amp, remote, bias tool, factory tubes with less than 200 hours, original box and packaging, and sales receipt from authorized ARC dealer. Shipping is $$$ due to size of the box (ARC’s packaging is legendary!) so I’ve priced it flat at about 1/2 actual cost, I’ll pick up the rest.
