I have owned several ARC amps and the REF150SE is truly a stunning piece. This amp was purchased from John at The Audio Salon in the Biltmore Hotel in South Florida. The tubes included are the original tubes that came with the amp from Audio Research. There are 2519 hours on the tubes. KT150 tubes are quoted by ARC as being good for a minimum of 3000 hours and 6h30 tubes at 4000 hrs. The amp still sounds pristine! The unit is absolutely flawless in performance and is, with the caveat below, an absolutely stunning example. *NOTE: This amp is listed as NEAR MINT and the only thing preventing it from being MINT is shown in the picture with the blue circles around the three specs on the top edge of the faceplate (see pic for details). Owners tip: When checking the bias/voltage for each tube, there is a set of terminals used to check each individual output tube with voltmeter probes. Replacing the REF150—which was one of the most respected modern stereo amplifiers—was a daunting task, but it has been accomplished. In the two years since I’ve put just 53 Hours on that factory tube set. The sound is phenomenal, as I’m sure you already know about these units.
