This Audio Research CD6 SE CD Player is a great addition to any home audio system. It plays CDs most of the time without any issues. However, it does have some disc error issues that can occur. But these issues do not affect the overall performance of the player. The player is made by Audio Research, a trusted brand in the audio industry. Discontinued in 2020/2021, it is one of the last great sounding one box CD players. This unit possibly needs a new transport, due to reading DISC ERROR periodically. Unit was sent last winter 2023 to Audio Research for a power supply over heating issue. An additional heatsink was added. I purchased this unit used in spring 2022. I possess the remote control, power cord, original owners manual, and factory box. Appearance is near mint, no scratches, dents, or imperfections. Used in a non smoking environment, without pets, or small children. Here is a chance to get a recent classic deeply discounted. Very versatile, has RCA, USB, AES/EBU, and Toslink digital inputs. Also BNC, AES/EBU, and Single-Ended (RCA), and Balanced (XLR) outputs. Multiple upsampling, and filter options.
