This CD player is in very good cosmetic condition. Its problem is that when you insert a CD, it reads “No Disc”. I’ve had this player in for service recently and the laser assembly was replaced with an original type Philips. It worked for a while until it stopped reading discs. The drawer and display function fine and it has all parts, remote, manual, and schematic. I may even have the original box (but I’m not guaranteeing this until I go to storage). Regardless, it will be well-packed when I send it to you. History Many years ago, I owned an Audio Research dealership and they sold me this CD player on an accommodation (see original invoice). I hope you can get it working correctly, because when it does, it sounds wonderful. Obviously sold as-is (no returns) Will ship to the 48 states only. Ive had this for about a year now now, works flawlessly. I replaced the laser with a new genuine ARC part when I first got it, because the old laser had failed. Unit is in overall excellent conditions. Ive cleaned the contacts behind the front panel buttons.I do have the handles, which I will reinstall before shipping.

This Audio Research CD6 SE CD Player is a great addition to any home audio system. It plays CDs most of the time without any issues. However, it does have some disc error issues that can occur. But these issues do not affect the overall performance of the player. The player is made by Audio Research, a trusted brand in the audio industry. Discontinued in 2020/2021, it is one of the last great sounding one box CD players. This unit possibly needs a new transport, due to reading DISC ERROR periodically. Unit was sent last winter 2023 to Audio Research for a power supply over heating issue. An additional heatsink was added. I purchased this unit used in spring 2022. I possess the remote control, power cord, original owners manual, and factory box. Appearance is near mint, no scratches, dents, or imperfections.
