Deck B works perfectly. Deck A playback is more than double speed (almost like FF). Tried to adjust motor speed. Did not work. No further testing done. I don’t have time to research and repair this one, but it’s worth saving! Also back input/output panel is missing which leads me to believe someone else tried to repair but forgot to re-attach that part for some reason. Input/Output work fine. This is the classic Koss Pro / 4XTC Studio Quality Stereophone. As far as I can tell theyve never actually been used. They are still in the original inner box and wrapping packaging. So for this reason I assume that they work fine. Youll notice I havent removed them from the inner packaging for the listing photos. There does however only appear to be one jack in the box (it says 2 are included on the outside box info). The main / outer box is in OK-to-good condition. A little worn on the corners / edges, one slight tear on one of the corners, and a slight mark in one corner where I presume a price tag used to be, but the box is still solid and functional. I gather that these headphones were quite the thing when they came out in the early 90s. So much so buyers were offered a lifetime warranty. Koss released later versions of these headphones that never quite generated the same excitement, so I guess this pair really are classic! This receiver is ridiculously powerful, with many inputs and outputs for both audio and video, as well as Dolby Pro-Logic Surround. Google the model number for a wealth of information, but basically this was the flagship model near the end of Pioneers second heyday of stereo system greatness. The original remote control and owners manual are included. This unit was gently used, and kept in a dust proof cabinet most of its life. All buttons function as they should, as do all aspects of the display. Sounds great. Ive had several similar high end Pioneer receivers over the years. This one presents quite well, with only a few small cosmetic imperfections. Overall, this is a very nice example. At the time of this listing, I have a compatible Pioneer Multi Room Remote System listed in a separate auction, new in the boxes. If youre trying to build a high-end vintage Pioneer component system, thats definitely worth looking at also.
