AGI 511 Preamplifier - Audio General Inc 511 This is a hard-to-find audiophile grade preamplifier originally designed in 1974 and produced until 1990. This particular preamp has had some updates and upgraded parts to keep it going another 35+ years (please see pics), but no active circuit modifications or parts value changes have been made - it is as it was designed. Reputed to have an excellent phono stage. This preamplifier is in good functional and cosmetic condition , all switches and buttons operate without noise. This uses AB Type J potentiometers that are made of hot molded carbon; they will never make noise. Tape Out, Monitoring, EQ and courtesy outlets are not internally connected (no one really uses these anymore). There is a little ding on the top edge of the faceplate and a chipped volume pot. The rear right corner has been bent and straightened, and there are a few light scratches on the top cover. This preamp has been carefully packed and will ship via least expensive carrier to anywhere in the continental US. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges.
