AUDIO DESK Systeme Glass PRO X Cleaning Machine - This machine has cleaned less than 100 LPs! On offer this week is a barely used Systeme Glass Pro X, which retails new for $3,999 and it looks like it sells for around $2,000 or more used. The Cleaning Machine comes with the owners manual, AC adaptor, and the original rollers, filter, and wiper blades. Also included is a new set of wiper blades shipped with the original purchase. IMPORTANT: I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING BOX AND THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Having said that, I will pack the unit extremely carefully, and I believe the extremely low opening bid fairly reflects these terms and conditions. ACCESSORIES: Included in the package are the following NEW/Sealed accessories: Two Filters ($50 retail) Twelve Bottles of Cleaning Fluid ($400 retail) One Box of Cleaning Barrels ($100 retail) One Set of Wiper Blades ($30 retail) One 7 Adapter Kit ($400 retail) THAT IS APPROXIMATELY $980 of accessories INCLUDED in this sale. Thats enough to clean between 1,200 and 1,800 albums, depending on whether you change the fluid every 100 cleanings or every 150. I dont buy many used records anymore so I change the fluid after every 150 cleanings. I recommend a more frequent change if youre cleaning a lot of used records. RECORD CLEANING DEMO: As youll see on the video, the machine is in perfect working order. Owing to Ebay limiting videos to 150MB, I am only able to show the beginning and end of the cleaning process, but if an interested party wants me to send a full video to some kind of dropbox (the full video runs about 6 minutes and the file is approximately 1.5GB), Ill be happy to do so. First, you can see that Ive date stamped this video by showing Googles homepage on my iPhone as of 5/28/23. AND, just to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, youll see that for the demonstration Im using one of the rarest LPs I own: A first UK STEREO pressing of The Beatles Please Please Me (the rare black and gold label). The LP is in VG condition, and arguably I should have used a really shiny new album for the demo, but the purpose here is to show you the machine works and is COMPLETELY trustworthy. And no, the LP does not come with the machine : ) BACKSTORY - I am a fanatic about record cleaning, and Ive been using the Audio Desk machines for over 10 years; this one was my third, which I was able to purchase in February 2022 on a trade-in at an excellent price. (Long before the Audio Desk appeared, I had a VPI machine for many years, but using those requires a pretty manual process, cleaning one side at a time, and the Audio Desk was an ENORMOUS upgrade). For many years, I would clean a record (new or used; you should ALWAYS clean a new record), and Id put a little silver star sticker on the LPs outer wrap so that I knew if it had been cleaned or not. If the vinyl started sounding a little noisy or looked a bit dusty, I would clean it again. However, knowing that cleaned records sound SO MUCH better than uncleaned vinyl, my philosophy evolved and for the last few years (and from now on, until I keel over), EVERY record I play gets cleaned first. This preserves the life of the LP, produces a much (much!) quieter vinyl playing experience AND extends the life of my stylus. A big win-win-win. For better or worse, shortly after I took delivery of this unit (which, btw, I cleaned 86 records with; since Audio Desk recommends you change the fluid every 100 to 150 records, I keep a notepad next to the machine in order to keep track), I became aware of the amazing Klaudio record cleaning machine, which many people I respect believe is THE best machine out there (and at $6500 retail, it should be! As a point of reference, Acoustic Sounds uses the Klaudios to clean all the used LPs they sell). And so, much as I took a deep breath many years ago and forked over my $4k PLUS for my first Audio Desk machine (I think the first ones sold for $4500) -- and despite having just acquired this new Pro X -- I had to have the Klaudio. Im very fortunate to own one. In the meantime, the Audio Desk unit has been unused. As for the accessories, I stock up on extras as I always worry that specialty parts might become unavailable, hence these included items at no extra cost. As shown in the photos, several of the boxes are sealed (one box of cleaning fluid, a box of rollers, and one filter). The other filter is new/sealed. The wiper blades are new/sealed/as shipped. The 7 adapter kit is open box/new/never used. I thought I might use it for 45s (I have over 1,500 45s), but I just dont play them, so I never got around to figuring out how to set up the adapter system. I debated about selling this package as a Buy-It-Now, fixed price (somewhere between $1500 and $2000, which would still be a bargain). However, just like all the LPs Im selling on Ebay, I prefer the auction process and Id rather give a lucky Ebay-er the chance to get into record cleaning or upgrade their current system at possibly the LOWEST price youll ever encounter for this equipment, and which is why Im starting the bidding at a ridiculously low price of $250 (NO RESERVE!). If you look at my feedback I believe youll get some sense that my customers know that Im dead honest about everything I sell, and I do my best to accurately describe items. More importantly, Im first and foremost a music lover and audiophile...in other words, an enthusiast. In the same way I try to be a cheerleader for how great 45 rpm pressings can be, record cleaning is WAY more important to the overall audio experience, imo, and so Id much rather have this machine out there cleaning records than sitting in my closet. Finally, I will be more than happy to provide tips or suggestions after the sale to ensure the lucky winner is getting the most out of this great device. Good luck! About Me: Im a long time Ebay buyer intent on selling a significant portion of my LP collection over the next year or two (or three!). I believe in the auction process, so Im NOT going to list records at absurdly high prices, and I look forward to getting rare, out of print records into the hands of music lovers, record collectors and audiophiles (I consider myself all of the above). All LPS stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment. Please check my feedback and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Also, please take a look at other items Im listing (new items will be listed on Sunday and Wednesday nights), and good luck! PayPal Payments Only. Payment required within 3 days after the end of auction. All records will ship USPS Media Mail.
