The power amplifier section uses SONYs metal transistor 2SD46 in the output stage, configured in a quasi-complementary circuit, with an output of 25W+25W. 1969 sansui au 777d, Japanese domestic version of the 777a. I use this amplifier daily and it is in great shape for its age. I have had it in to my local tech for preventative maintenance a few months ago and had a number of caps and resistors changed and bias reset to factory settings. I use both phono 1 and aux inputs and they work as they should, I cannot speak for others. All knobs and switches work as they should without static. This amp is 30 watts per channel and has a full, warm bassy sound. Some nice write ups on audiokarma. See “777a vs all contenders”. Requires a step down transformer, I can include one.
