This is a single base that has Left, Center and Right channel speakers along with a subwoofer all built in. You put this under your TV and youre done. What makes this different from other HTIB systems? 1) You dont need to mount anything on the wall or cram a cheap speaker into a cabinet next to the TV. The LCR channels are each 2 way (2 mid range and 1 tweeter) designs. Atlantic used the same drivers in their regular HT speakers--and they were one of the pioneers in the field of HT specific speakers. These play loud and clean. 2) The sub is built in-and is a REAL sub. None of this 6 or 8 cube nonsense. The sub is based on ATs H-PAS technology. Google H-PAS Atlantic Technology for details. In fact, I was the ATs patent attorney and wrote the patents on this invention. Again read the reviews of the AT-1. You get real bass extension, down to 37hz in this unit IIRC.
