Ariston RD11s Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. This unit was one of many from an audiophile estate collection. From my research, some say this turntable is similar to early models of the Linn Sondek LP-12s, who knows? Tested and working, the motor is strong and quiet. Belt has a little slack, but it does have traction. Its due for replacement. To change speeds from 33 to 45 the belt is moved to a different position on the motor pulley. Its easy and takes about ten seconds. Ball bearing is present and in good condition. As can be seen in the photos, there is no tone arm. I removed the bottom cover so you can see what youre getting. Dust cover is in excellent condition with minimal brush marks, along with hinges. Base / plinth is also in great condition. All working great, you have to give the platter a little spin-start’ as the platter is very heavy on these, which is norm. The arm is also a stunnning example, looks new, with no corrosion or marks. Sounds superb and is fitted with a Shure cartridge. The only slight oddity, is the lid has a blanking plug where the lid-stay would have been, but the cut out for the lid-stay, but it’s on the other side… i ask if ythe owner had replaced the lid, he denied it.. The neon on/off switch has a mionor hair-line crack, but this hardly noticeable. I have honestly never seen one in this condition... Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING. LP12 Period Ariston Audio RD11 record deck with Rega RB250 arm. This is one of the earlier LP12 type Ariston RD11 turntables. I believe it is early 70s before the design changes were made. It has the original machined inner plater bearing, pre ball bearing. It has a Rega RB250 fitted with VTA adjuster ( Not pictured but supplied) as Rega arms require this when fitted to LP12s. It has an acrylic arm board which tightens up the sound. The top plate looks to have drilled for a Linn sub chassis at some point (see pics) but this doesn’t affect the sound. I have included a 45 adjuster (I can’t get it to fit, maybe someone can work it out by changing the 33 rpm rotor around). You can fit a Hercules to these turntables as a direct upgrade if you desire! It spins as nicely at 33 as my LP12 and runs smooth. I’ve disengaged the belt feed as I find it rubs sometimes but can re-engage it if needed. It’s a great deck that is a piece of history in its own right and a great launching pad for the endless upgrade world of the LP12. International postage available.

I hope the photos show the condition of the unit which overall I would describe as good. It comes with an anti-rumble rubber turntable mat and good quality phono plugs/earth lead. I noticed preparing the deck for sale that a machine screw on one of the hinges is missing.
