I hooked up the machine and it does play DVDs but does not play CDs. The DVD playback is impressive but it is ready for some TLC. Works great and it was fully tested. Comes with complete RCA component connectors as well as a HDMI Cable. Owners manual included. Power cord included. Works best with HDMI. Only issue is the rear two rubber feet are missing. I used the manual to level it when in use. Doesn’t impact play without them. Please see my pictures and let me know if you have any questions. This is a used Arcam DV79 CD & DVD player that DOES NOT work properly. It plays CDs (see photos #5 & 6), but not DVDs. It is cosmetically in good condition, but has a few marks on the top. please review all photos. When a DVD movie is inserted, the screen displays LOAD and after a few seconds BAD DISC appears or sometimes No DISC, even though the same DVDs are playable with other DVD players (see photos #7, 8 & 9). I used it only as a CD player on my test station until I decided to now sell it. This is when I tried the DVD function and discovered it does work. I never had the remote, so I am unable to dig into the menu settings.
