I carefully chose this over the AVR10 as this was the newer model and addressed some of the earlier bugs. I also demo-ed this against an AVR11 with the Dirac room correction and my ears could not hear the difference in a blind test. Still the AVR5 is Dirac-ready should you decide to add it in the future. This is one of the best values in high end receivers and the sound in my opinion is significantly better (especially for music) than the big box Denon/Marantz/Onkyo/Pioneer equivalents.
