I carefully chose this over the AVR10 as this was the newer model and addressed some of the earlier bugs. I also demo-ed this against an AVR11 with the Dirac room correction and my ears could not hear the difference in a blind test. Still the AVR5 is Dirac-ready should you decide to add it in the future. This is one of the best values in high end receivers and the sound in my opinion is significantly better (especially for music) than the big box Denon/Marantz/Onkyo/Pioneer equivalents. So this was my dream amp finally found a perfect one one Ebay paid 950 plus 100 shipping the previous owner treated it like gold the reason he sold it was he got divorced and was able to take her sewing room and turn it into his audio room and he went with full on separates with much larger speakers and my next step was to upgrade my speakers I have Paradigm Studio 20s and the 850 center so I was looking for studio 60s or 100s at the time after working in the middle of the Covid unit for 2 1/2 years it got me so spending 1500 - 2000$ on speakers to complement the 550s out put and DIRAC tuning was out the window otherwise by now I would be enjoying it but last June stopped all plans so it is up for sale Ebay does not list all items it has so do your home work before you buy it the amp is amazing as I can control it from my IPad shipping will be how I received it UPS double box double foam and insured

Barely used Arcam AVR5 Hone theater Receiver. Sounds amazing but it is large and my wife doesn’t like it in the living room. Selling at nearly half price or bid on the auction. Everything that was included comes with it except for box. It will be double boxed with care.
