There is a slight issue in that the program button doesnt click/work and as such you cannot program a CD to play certain tracks in a certain order so would need a repair if you wanted to program a CD. Everything else works fine, and it reads a disc quickly and plays quietly. I couldnt test playing a HDCD disc as I do not own any. Arcam Alpha 8se CD Player with Spare Laser - Not Reading Discs This is quite a nice example of the 8se CD player. It is struggling to read discs at the moment. It comes with a replacement laser which I havent got round to fitting so I am unsure if this will solve the problem or not. There is a few marks and scratches on the cases but this does not affect the internals which seem to be in quite good nick.
