APM Series indicates Accurate Pistonic Movement - featuring square foam surround drivers. Woofer at 7 square, midrange at 3 1/4 square and tweeter 1 1/2 square. Rated at 100W max 8 ohm load. Fully tested and each driver checked individually. Bass reflex port adds a bit extra kick on bass, still very crisp. Black simulated wood cabinets measure 25 1/4 height by 13 3/4 width and 8 depth. Listing includes matched Sony WS-X300 speaker stands which stand 13 tall - total speaker height at 38 1/4. Pair can be used with or without stands. Overall very good used condition - minimal cosmetic defects. All surrounds in good condition - not ready to flake apart. One woofer has a very small ~1/4 scuff - visible in picture #9. No effect on sound. Cabinets in very good shape with cosmetic faults limited to a few corner nicks. Grilles complete and intact, no snags and all pegs intact. I purchased this Realistic APM-300 audio power meter new in the mid 80s, and it has seen little use since the late 80s. I occasionally wake it up to check that it still works, and then I put back on the shelf to wait until the next time. This one-owner unit is in better cosmetic condition than most of the units I see being currently offered. While searching the web for relevant information, I came across a screenshot of the page from the 1982 Radio Shack catalog for the APM-300. The price, in 1982 dollars, was $49.95. Just for grins, I checked what that would be in 2024 dollars: $155.85 ! I will soon post a link to a video where I check out the operation of this power meter.
