This 2300 is in fine shape, without issue. Cosmetically clean, operationally sound. For sale here is my beloved McIntosh C2300 tube preamplifier. This unit was purchased from Paragon Sight and Sound and has performed flawlessly. The only flaw this unit has is the red standby indicator light is out. Like most of this era the remote is starting to get a little tacky (sticky). It has the commemorative gold package installed on it. This gold package was only available to owners of the C2200 who also had the commemorative gold edition MC2000 power amp in 1998. I suspect a previous owner owned the C2200/MC2000 combo and then upgraded the preamp to the C2300 and just reinstalled the gold package onto it. This makes for kind of a one-of-a-kind C2300 that is really wonderful to look at. In May the output tubes installed are Mazda 12AX7 military 1960 NOS long plates made for La Radiotechnique. The tubes were $250/pr. The C2300 will come complete with factory packaging, box, remote, and power cord. This Class A single-ended vacuum tube amplifier adopts hand welding to ensure the true reality of the sound quality. This amplifier adopts transformer parallel output to reduce its internal resistance by half and achieve doubled improvement on its power. Using antimagnetic transformer covers to shield current interference and achieve much lower static noise. Its sound output is full of analog style. The bass part is deep and powerful and the vocal part is sweet and intoxicating. It has a classic and graceful appearance. The VU meters and vacuum tubes make it more elegant and attractive.
