There has never been a Fikus DAC 2.0. Lukasz went old school on this one, threw out the rule book and went for the best sound possible full stop, damn the limitations, damn the spec sheet! Be warned that you need a well sorted high quality system and in particular the most special ICs you can lay your hands on to experience this extraordinary and addictive sound. Inputs are USB and digital RCA, output is Left and Right RCA My Big 6 DAC is currently with Lukas Fikus and his team in Poland for a refresher service to ensure that the new owner will be good to go for another decade of the best sound. This is a very special DAC, so special in fact that even though I subsequently bought a £20,000 Lampizator Golden Gate DAC, I then sold it on, because once this machine finally fully opened up after more than a year of constant use, I preferred the sound of this Big 6 DAC! The Golden Gate DAC had the golden specs and it sounded very good, but for me it didnt surpass the Fikus DAC, nor was it a close second. Was it the point to point wiring, the Jensen super caps, all of the above? I dont know what magic Lukasz weaved, but to me it was just better and I know why he put his name to it...
