Up for sale, a very nice SINGLE ESS Heil 12” woofer. These woofers were just professionally refoamed! It came out of ESS Heil AMT 1a bookshelf speaker, but will wit many other ESS models using the 4 ohm 12” woofer. It was fully tested after the foam job and passed with flying colors! The foams are from Simply Speakers, not junk! Simply Speakers recommended trimming and splicing the foams to fit perfectly, which is why there is a small piece overlapping rhe splice (see photos). Available for purchase is a pair of alnico woofers from amt3 rock monitor tower loudspeakers. They are original equipment 8 ohm pulp drivers, they measure 7.1 ohms, each. New surrounds have been installed and they perform perfectly. These are both in great used condition. See photos. You will be pleased with these OEM alnico woofers. For consideration is a pair of ESS amt dividing networks removed from amt Monitor tower cabinets. Original Heil amt crossover pair, with new 100v capacitor upgrade. These are 2 way, designed to run a full sized Heil amt and a 4 ohm woofer compliment. They have external removable connector strips to run in bi-amp mode. Crossover frequency is 1000hz when using the inboard dividing network. The brilliance pots have been electrically cleaned as well. They are in good condition overall. The radiators are original to early and later ESS 12 builds. Resistance measurements of the woofers are 3.2 and 3.3 respectively. The rich sonics incorporated in the original bextrene cones should be considered essential to the overall sound of your ESS speakers. Utilized in several models of amt1(x), these are drop-in ready for models such as amt1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, and amt Monitor, including all bookshelf variants of those models. These are factory original 12 drivers by ESS of Sacramento. These drivers were optimized for the specific dividing networks and cabinet offerings that were available during the production years of amt1b, and amt monitor tower builds. Modern replacements (from ESS) are not engineered to be coupled with amt drivers, nor your existing crossover networks where applicable. No testing or sampling has been performed with the new, generic paper woofer drivers provided by ESS, currently. Packing will be very stout, expect these to arrive as advertised. ESS (bookshelf model) aluminum bracket set. Fitment of this pair of original brackets (for the larger amt tweeters only) can be flush mount in a cabinet face, or baffle board if you desire. The complete kit available here is not custom made, it is original ESS equipment used in their large bookshelf type loudspeakers. It comes with thin rubber mounting gaskets, 4 L shaped aluminum brackets, and the original stud and nut assy. The brackets are pre drilled to accept all original ESS heil tweeters, with a pass-thru slot for the lead wires.
