Make an offer! Up for sale is a GAS Ampzilla II / 2 Solid State Vintage Amp (Great American Sound) for Parts or Repair. I am unable to test it due to the power cord having a damaged ground pin on the plug, so I do not know if it is working, or if it powers up, or if it is completely dead. I am assuming it needs a tech to check it over and verify everything is in good order due to its age, so I didnt want to try to fire it up and risk any potential damage. It appears to be in very good condition -- a few scratches, but its clean and doesnt have any obvious damage from drops, shipping, etc. I carefully removed the top piece without unplugging anything just to get the inside shots so you can verify that the internals appear to all be there and intact! I dont see any obvious burn marks or damage to the circuitboards. This amp was previously owned by an Audio Engineer who worked for Carver and a few other high-end 70s/80s audio brands, and he had placed it in storage, so it hasnt been powered up for at least 20 years. When I got it, it had all of the GAS/Ampzilla logos carefully covered in black tape, so I wonder if it was being used as a reference amp to do shoot outs against competitor designs. Nothing else is included in the sale -- only the amp and attached power cord. Because this is a delicate vintage audio item in UNKNOWN OPERTATIONAL CONDITION, I am selling it as-is and as-shown for parts/repair only, and will not be accepting returns unless it is damaged in shipping and doesnt arrive in the same condition that these pictures show.
