Beautiful Tube power amplifier - Velleman K4040 - Includes all tubes. This power amplifier is as sweet sounding as it is beautiful. The original K4040s were a kit (high end) with the following specs:2x90Wrms into 4 or 8ohmUp to 2 x 15Wrms full class ABandwidth: 8Hz to 80KHz (-3dB/1W)Harmonic distortion: 0.1% @ 1W/1KHzSignal to noise ratio: >105dB (A weighted) They originially came with EL34s but after the upgrades, it now has 8 GE 6L6GC output tubes from 1963 (new old stock) and 2 12AX7 input tubes (Syvania Black plates - NOS 1960s) and 1 12AU7 internal as a phase splitter. This 38lb monster will shock you in the sweet sound especially for vinyl. Not only are the tubes inlcuded (over $1200 worth) but I am also including 2 backup tubes (GE , 1960;s, NOS) Also, the cord I am including is a Pangea (I swear it weighs at least 5 lbs) and cost $200. I am also inclduing the vanity rings which dont fit the 6L6GCs (too fat) but would fit if you used EL34s. Bias for tubes is a oiece of cake as the front face comes off, uses dip switches and LEDs so you just tweak from out of red to green (only if you change tubes, it holds bias) . No meters needed.
