Thanks for taking a look here at my first generation Auralic Altair streaming DAC in black. I’m guessing it dates from ~2017 or so? I bought it used for my system and was running their Lightning app on my iPad. Roon works with this unit as well. If you want to, you can install a 2.5” hard drive, or SSD, (not included) to get some internal music storage. I found it easier to just connect an external SSD as a USB input and that worked great to play a dedicated music library. Streaming works on this unit as well if you prefer that. Cosmetics - Unit does show various rubs, marks and scratches so look elsewhere if you want a unit that looks unused or brand new. Of course, none of the cosmetics affect the function of this Altair.
