Description
The ALLEN&HEATH WZ3 14:4:2 is a renowned compact mixer suitable for on-stage monitoring, specifically the Wizard Monitor model. It features 10 high-quality microphone preamps, with a configuration of 10 mono channels and 2 stereo channels in 4 separate inputs. The dual stereo inputs allow for 4-band equalization on each channel, independent gain control, and an on/off switch. Routing two of the inputs directly to the left and right outputs enables independent returns for four systems. The 4-band equalizer provides extensive frequency variability, with a maximum gain of 70dB. The headroom for channels is +21dB and +23dB for the mix bus, and it has a frequency response of 20Hz to 30kHz (+0/-0.5dB). The equalization includes semi-parametric controls with specific settings for low frequencies, mid frequencies, and high frequencies. The mixer also has six auxiliary outputs and a fixed high-pass filter at 100Hz. The fader measures 100mm, excluding the WZ3 12M model. Dimensions for mounting are as follows: rack size is 19.0 inches (483W x 122H x 444D mm), and desk size is 19.9 inches (507W x 194H x 530D mm). The weight of the mixer is approximately 22.0 lbs (10 kg). It is listed in used condition, with some issues noted: one lamp is not functioning, and there may be an intermittent volume drop when using the source volume and main mixer volume at low settings. However, it operates normally when the volume is not set low. The item comes with only the power cable. As this is an older model, interested buyers should be aware of its condition.
