The Alesis MasterLink ML-9600 is a console/tabletop master disk recorder designed for audio professionals. It allows for high-quality recording and playback of audio tracks at 4 different sample rates and 2 different cd formats. It has a 120 gb HD, and this is easily upgradable ( think desk top cpu components). It isnt necessary, as it works fine as far as I can determine. I havent tried every function, but even if you didnt want to use it as a home studio, it produces excellent quality audio. I dont have the remote, available on the bay pretty cheap.
