One of these commonly cloned items is this phono preamplifier from the ALEPH line. I have had the pleasure of enjoying this Aleph Ono phono preamplifier for almost four years, and Im only selling to upgrade to a much more expensive phono stage. It has treated me well and is fully functional. It is dead silent and has a wonderfully detailed and expansive soundstage. There are many internal jumpers and dip switches for switching from MC to MM and loading the cartridge, as well as setting the gain. In addition to RCAs, the Ono has balanced out as well. Cosmetically, there are a couple of spots on the sharp edges of the anodizing where a bit of silver is showing. On the back corner, there is a bit of damage from a previous owner that isnt visible once its in the rack. Please see the pictures where I attempted to capture all spots i could find. This 35lb chunk of aluminum is very stout so shipping it to you should be very safe and straightforward. This is essentially a brand new amplifier. It just returned from a full factory service and complete recap. The Pass Labs Aleph 0s, released in 1994 in the USA, is an American-made high-fidelity stereo power amplifier with an exceptional reputation for its build quality and sound. The Aleph 0s was designed to produce natural sound by an asymmetric amplification scheme (single-ended output). This is a legendary minimalist Aleph L preamp by Nelson Pass. The Aleph series was groundbreaking for its simple but brilliant circuitry and sonic purity. NOTE that I do have a manual for this which I will include, but the serial number doesnt match the serial of this unit. That has no impact at all on this unit; it just means that the test data included in the manual wont apply to this particular unit (but it will be very close).
