Does not work but of course the belt is sitting on top of unit. So yeah, I know nothing about record player but everything else appears to be in tact and decent condition. Good parts unit and likely easily repaired with a belt as the motor does still run when you move the play arm over and the unit is plugged in.

Classic/Vintage original Akai AP-B1 belt drive Hi-fi turntable with original leads & 45rpm adapter. The motor wont stop spinning. Even if arm is rested. Output and speeds are fine. Have not put it down for parts, but please keep in mind above minor faults. Turntable is in good working condition with the exception of a minor fault - the auto return no longer works and the turntable won’t stop spinning unless the power is switched off. This means that the stylus has to be lifted on and off the record being played - Not a major issue as most modern turntables are designed to operate this way anyway. Some slight discolouration of the Perspex lid and adapter - but nothing major. Perspex lid is semi opaque from light scuffing from years of use. Stylus has been replaced with an Audio technika headshell at some point. I found these specs on the internet - for guidance only, not part of the description.
