I have NO personal history or knowledge of this item. At time of listing we were able to power the unit on and the lights did come on (see pictures). We were able to get the reels to rotate/spin on FF, Reverse, Play, and Record. No further testing was performed beyond this point. There is a good amount of wear/distress on the outer casing, body, etc. See pictures to get a better idea of condition. Selling As-Is, For Parts, etc.

Vintage Akai X200D Solid State Reel To Reel Tape Deck in very clean condition. I Tested it and it does work including the counter, lights and meters.

AKAIX-200D 7 Reel to Reel with auto reverse A basic service was performed on the unitAll controls including the record open rheostat were cleaned and treated with Deoxit products Heads and tape path were cleaned and heads were demagnetized. Many tapes were played through the deck, all were user recorded. Both channels had proper audio Rewind and FFWD worked as designed as well as the auto shut off feature. The record option was not tested. All knobs are present The case shows a few marks from age. Item will be properly boxed for a safe ship. Item is sold as is as described.

AKAI X-3300 Solid State Reel to Reel tape recorder. Used in wonderful working shape. Powers up reels spin in every direction selected Was my grandfathers he still used it until 2021 when he passed away. Been sitting in the basement until now. Akai X-200D Reel to reel tape deck tested, mostly working, plays fine and sounds good, tested connected to a receiver with speakers, ff and rw also tested and good, meters light up and work, but the auto reverse only seems to play the tape backwards and only if you hold the button in, not sure if that is normal. will be well packed and insured.
