Here we have a vintage akai aa-1030 stereo tuner amplifier in working order, has been stored away for a long time. This receiver works, strong audio from both channels. The faceplate is in especially nice condition. All of the lamps are burnt, LEDs for FM stereo indicator/AFC are working. A cleaning/service is recommended. The treble dial has a non-original knob and somebody used a wood screw to replace the broken shaft on the pot(pics 7 & 8). The volume dial is original, but the shaft also has a screw. This Macgyver fix works for now, the screw heads fit well inside the knobs, you could use it like it is. I would suggest replacing the two pots, and getting a correct knob for the treble. The vinyl woodgrain decal, that covers the unit, is in very good condition, except its shrinking back from the top vent a little(pic 6). Vintage Akai AA-1030 Stereo Receiver Working But Has A Fault. This unit is in excellent visual condition, no signs of scratches or scuff marks. All powers up as expected, led lights all work, gauges both work, but during testing I could not get any sound to come out of the left Chanel. Right channel works as expected.
