Akai 4000DS MK-II MK2 Reel To Reel Tape Recorder. New belts fitted, overall condition is very good especially the cabinet. Plays and records perfectly . Heads have been cleaned and demagnetized. Fast forward and rewind operates but nearing the end of the tape slows down and stops. Probably needs adjustment otherwise a very good machine. What you see in the photos is what you will receive. Akai 4000ds Mk2 Reel To Reel Tape Recorder Serviced This is a 4 track 2 channel stereo / mono machine running at 3-3/4 and 7-1/2 ips It takes standard 1/4 tape on upto max 7 reels. It has had a service and is fully working All rubber has been cleaned with platenclene and a new counter belt installed , the capstan belt and pinch roller / idlers are in good condition The heads are in good condition and have been cleaned , polished and demagnetised along with the rest of the tape path All switches and pots have been cleaned with servisol switch cleaner All bearings and linkages have been cleaned and relubricated or greased where applicable Transport cams are perfect and its been fitted with a new mains plug It is in overall good condition with a few marks here and there , nothing that is obvious It has been thoroughly tested, play and record over the past week with no issues It comes with the following Original speed sleeve ( often missing ) Copy of the owners handbook 3 tapes to get you going and a matching take up reel 2 new phono leads A small head cleaning kit Overall this is a good condition deck that is fully working and supplied with everything you need to get started I would prefer collection so i can demonstrate it working but will send at your risk well packed and insured if collection is not possible Thanks for looking .

An Akai 4000 DS mk2 with original wooden sleeve. This is for service and restoration as it has not been used for over thirty years. In very good condition with only very light scratches and sigs of use. All switches and knobs present and all move freely if very clogged up with dirt. It comes with the two tape reels shown. No dents or excessively worn paint finish but it is very dirty as has been stored in the loft for decades. It has a lovely wood surround with all eight rubber feet. No split to the corners and edges good. We inspected the plug for safety and it is fine. We plugged it in and the V. U. meters light up. It will not play the tape or engage the head but it does make noise indicating the mechanism is working but very clogged up with dirt. This will need new belts and the internal mechanicals cleaned and lubricated a job for the very experienced or get a professional service. These are now quite sought after as this tape medium is making a big come back with many old machines now being restored. The machine is 41 cm W, 31 cm H and 18 cm D. Note it is very well made like all Japanese machines from this era and it weighs 11.8 Kg. Very dirty from decades of storage and lots of grime but normal for and original example from this era. All original inside. We will not clean it as this is how most customers seem to prefer them now. Will be well packed for delivery.

Magntophone a Bandes Akai 4000DS MK2 Fonctionnel. Tous les boutons fonctionnent. Test au casque = son trs faible, bruit et craquement. Ncessiterait une petite rvision. Trs bel tat esthtique. Sera expdi dans sa caisse de transport en tat moyen, mais protgera bien lappareil. Bandes comprises, 1 pleine et 1 vide. Service de livraison par Mondial Relay pour la France 20. Pays desservis par Mondial Relay, 30 la livraison domicile. Pour les autres pays europens, 65 par Colissimo ou Chronopost.

Akai 4000DS MK2 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder/Player. Bought a decade ago for a recording project and barely used since. Runs well and all functions are working properly, however I’d recommend a service for optimum performance. There is a small amount of cosmetic damage to one of the corners (see pics) and some minor scratches on the front which are barely noticeable. The right volume knob cover might benefit from a spot of glue as it’s a bit loose. Complete with tape speed adaptor and original manual (if I can find it!).

On parvient parfois à équilibrer la balance en titillant le bouton stéréo (prévoir révision). Le bouton de mise en tension ne fonctionne pas, reste toujours allumer. Magntophone a bandes Akai 4000 DS MKII MK2 Reel-to-Reel3 ttes 4 pistes Plus qualitatifs que les magntophones cassettes, ces lourds engins analogiques ont tenu le haut du pav dans les annes 1970s car ils permettent denregistrer sur bande en 2 vitesses 9,5 et 19 cm/s contre 4,75 cm/s pour la cassette audio, donc en trs bonne qualit !
