Up for sale is an AIWA AD-F1000 3-head cassette deck from the one of the very best high-end manufactures of the 1980s. The great unit with Dolby B,C, & HxPro has other outstanding features such as DBX and manual fine bias adjustment. The deck was serviced a little over a year ago - new belts, new idler tire. The capstans have been cleaned and independently demagnetized along with the heads. Cleaned and sanitized. Shows some minor signs of use (please see all photos as they are part of the description). Cassette shown in photos is not included. Please see that there is a small ding below the record button. This is considered vintage electronics it is sold as is. All functions have been tested and working. This beautiful piece of analog tech. is from 1989 and sounds wonderful! The AIWA AD-F1000 is a rare deck indeed and the transport mechanism is considered to be one of the finest ever built. This deck may show up once in a while as the 100 volt version from Japan. However, this one was built for the USA with the proper voltage. This deck was also sold under the Excelia XK-007. The special, external Excelia transformer can be seen in one of the photos.
