It performs well in either high quality music or theater systems. For critical music listeners it provides accurate tonal balance, precise imaging, tight bass, and excellent transparency. For home theater use, it also provides high power handling and wide dynamic range. The Model 7Bs compact size, narrow width, and extensive internal bracing reduce cabinet coloration to mini-monitor levels. Three 2 thick walls, tight tolerances, and several constrained-layer damping blocks further reduce cabinet coloration. In addition the midrange driver is mounted in a separate wool-filled chamber. The Model 7B continues the design philosophy of other Aerial speakers. Its twin long-throw woofers were developed specially for the 7B. They employ large vented magnets, 40 mm diameter coils, and cast frames. Bass is quick, dynamic, and deep. The critical midrange is handled by an unshielded version of the highly acclaimed Model CC3 midrange driver. Midrange is well resolved and natural. The tweeter is Aerials exclusive, highly refined 10T tweeter. It provides detailed, transparent, extended highs without acoustic signature. The bi-wirable networks are built on two separate glass epoxy circuit boards using precision components and high quality wiring. All cabinets are carefully produced in mirror-imaged pairs using the finest veneers finished to a very high standard. In addition, the veneers are book-matched for symmetry on each side. The finish quality is exceptionally high. The optional floor stand is recommended for tighter bass on wood floors as well as for increased stability.

I have lowered these to a stone cold bargain! This is my rock bottom price. These are for sale locally in Knoxville, Tennessee. These are offered for local pick up only- no shipping. These are truly high-end audiophile quality speakers. The Aerial Acoustics Model 7B were made in the late 90s. They were made in the USA and the genuine Rosewood veneer edition retailed for $5,000 back then. Everything about these is very high-end from the drivers to the cross-overs and especially the cabinets. The cabinets were handbuilt by American craftsman and are designed to be acoustically inert without any resonance with 2 thick walls! Because of this, they weigh nearly 100 pounds each. The drivers are all perfect and there are no dinged corners etc. There is a surface scratch on the back of one of them. This happened when I was moving to a new home one time when I was sliding the speaker out of the back of the SUV and someting was beneath the speaker. The scratch looks worse than it is and is only in the clear coat surface. I am sure it would probably buff out nicely. I never bothered because you never see the scratch since its in the back. Other than that scratch, these are in excellent condition and sound absolutely amazing with the right equipment. I used these with a Krell amp and preamp at one time and it was the best sound I have been able to achieve in my home. I am down sizing and simplifying these days so they are for sale.
