With a reputation of fine audio gear at reasonable prices, this Adcom preamp lives up to its name. Fully tested, the tuner is very good, and the Phono section also is very capable. We cleaned all pots and switches, and then treated them with Deoxit F5 and D5 respectively. Physically, the unit has numerous scuffs, and scratches on the top, sides and bottom. On the right side of the faceplate, and the top front right corner, there are spots of an unknown substance that dried onto the unit. We were unable to remove the spots, so we just left them. See pictures for further details on the physical condition of the preamp. We dont have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams. ADCOM GTP-500 pre-amp/tuner. Pretty clean unit with low shelf wear. Turns on with displays showing AM/FM channels. All lighted buttons appear to work. Note: Tuner locks in stereo stations (3 shown) and appears to function. Right channel seems to work, but left channel is out. Not fully tested. I have copy of repair manual (included) for those who would like to trace circuit (left JFET amplifier) may be the issue, which is common repair on this model. In original packaging but outer box is not in great shape. Sold as is for parts or restoration with no returns. Ask questions and look closely at pictures.
