Adcom GTP-500ii Preamp. Great, Classic Audiophile Preamp. Looks and Sounds Great. A Legend In Its Day. Still sounds better than many modern hifi preamps. The radio reception does cut in and out sometimes, if anybody even listens to the radio anymore these days? Cd, phono and aux streaming from different sources works and sounds great. Cant go wrong from the price.

The ADCOM GTP-500 is an analog preamplifier with a built-in AM-FM stereo tuner. Sturdily built in the early 1990’s. It works as control center since you can plug your power amps and the rest of your system into the outlets on the back. This is the basis for a great hi-fi system when teamed up with with a power amp and speakers

Up for auction are used adcom white faceplate panels. All are in almost new condition. Fits gfa-545 gtp-500 and gcd-575 units/equipment. Adcom GTP-500 and GFA-535 white set purchased together by me when I was in the sixth grade, I’m 44 now. The AM/FM tuner actually works in the tuner/preamp, that is somewhat rare as these frequently do not work on Adcom tuners. Not too many people listen to the radio now anyways, but it does still work. Have original remote and it also functions perfectly. Amplifier is a GFA-535, 4-channel with an “A” and “B” selector allowing you to run either “A” channels, “B” channels or both “A” and “B” simultaneously. Both units have the typical “yellowing” commonly seen on Adcom white units. All lights work and are as bright as the day I bought them. I have the original FM antenna that is very long and splits into a “T” shape. I’ll look around for the original AM antenna, I’m sure I have it just couldn’t locate at the time of listing. Will NOT separate the two units, they’ve been together for over 30 years and they are leaving together. Do not want to sell just have no use for them any longer. These have been a real pleasure to own. Thanks.

I have had this preamp for several years and used it with an Adcom amp. I had connected to it, cassette player/recorder, CD player and turntable. All accessories functioned properly through this unity. I read that the tuner is a common problem with this Adcom preamp and for sure my tuner was a problem. You can switch over to the tuner and it will likely work for a while but then it quits working. It will not wrk again until the unit has been turned off for a while. I read that it is a solder connection and I never chose to have it looked at and fixed. I never had a problem with anything else cutting out. My selling price reflects the problem with the tuner. I do not have a remote for it. I will only accept US bids, no out of county bids accepted.
