This auction is for an Adcom GFP-815 pre-amplifier in incredible condition. Cosmetically it is a 9.9/10. There are no dings or dents, but there are some very minor scratches and paint chips from stacking (please see pictures). Functionally, it is absolutely flawless. The GFP-815 is high acclaimed as one of Adcoms best pre-amplifiers. It is from my personal collection, and I have owned it since new. It has always been connected to a top quality surge protector. I will not bore you with the functional details as those who are interested in the item will know them perfectly well. Adcom GFP-1 Preamplifier Circa late 1970s high end preamp, has inputs for phono 1/phono 2/tuner/aux/tape 1/tape 2, 2 stereo outputs allowing going into 2 different power amps, the usual tone controls, tape monitoring and dubbing switches, plus 3 ac outlets in the back. Tested working well, all functions work as far as I can tell, volume knob a little staticky when turning quickly (contacts could probably use a cleaning). Only minor issue is the power switch has no effect as the unit stays always on when plugged in so you may want to use it with a switch at the outlet or a switched power strip. Has minor cosmetic blemishes from age, see pics. Weight: 11 lbs 2 oz, size 13x19x3. Check out my other items for more Adcom including a GFA-1A power amp that pairs well with this [sold!]. Ive worked at Adcom and this preamp came from them as an engineering sample. It has been thoroughly tested, and it works and sounds great It has a caveat - the silkscreen labeling of the first item of the second row is named tape in, but in reality it is tone in.
