It’s the Mother Of All Power Amplifiers. The heat sinks are massive! This is a true very rare classic. Plus this is a Limited Edition with the numbered nameplate of 1570 on the front. This baby will not only light up your Wilson Audio Sophia Series 3 speakers, but will power any speaker in the world! At 250 W into 8 and 400 W into 4 continuous it will handle the most demanding loads. The clarity, musical definition and sound stage will literally speaking blow you away!! You are not going to find many of these around, for the lucky people that own them keep them! The design and power is second to none. It is a very HIGH CURRENT amp with a rail capacitance of 36 thousand uF per side, This 585 has a time delay circuitry to apply the rail voltage after all bias networks are up to speed, eliminating the speaker thump on turn on /off. I personally would put this 585 up against any of the big boys like Krell - McIntosh- Jeff Rowland- Classe Audio, etc. It will hold it’s own, if not easily surpass. The output modules have been upgraded with new higher performance capacitors. And the driver transistors, four in all have been upgraded to higher breakdown voltages for more headroom. Make no mistake this GFA-585 is not your Dad’s 585 It will surpass anything out there in the 585 world. It’s sonic sound stage is nothing short of Awesome. If you have quality speakers & pre-amp to run this, you will lack for nothing in incredible listening pleasure. I have installed a IEC connector and will come with a generic IEC power cord. I am a one man shop, with 30 years as a electronic tech, so each piece of high quality audio equipment gets my personal attention, of which I repair, clean, adjust, and inspect everything as if I were keeping for my own.
