Adcom GFA-5800 Stereo Power Amplifier acquired from the family of the original owner. Original box, packing, and owners manual are included. I gave this unit a quick test and unfortunately it is not working as it should. It produced distorted output with a loud hum. I quickly pulled the plug so not to damage this unit further. Upon inspection I found that one of the rear 10 Amp fuses are open. These amplifiers rarely fail, this is the one in 100s that I have acquired over the years that has a problem. The original owner was an older gentleman who I know never abused his equipment. As far as cosmetics, not a scratch or mark to be found. No flaws. Cosmetically, its as good as it gets, functionally not so good. The original box, packing is so good it was difficult getting this unit out of its snug packing within the box. Its definitely secure and suspended by Styrofoam on all four sides. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and the above mentioned non-working condition, this amplifier is offered for restoration and sold as is. Please view the auction photos. Purchased at an estate sale with tons of guitar equipment, amps and receivers. Item is in good working condition. (People were using it there.) I have retested for power, upon getting home. Keep in mind this item is 70 pounds, very heavy. Make sure, the area youre setting this can support the weight. Comes with the unit and the power chord. Due to the cost. Signature will be required upon delivery.

This is an Adcom GFA-5800 stereo power amplifier. Rated at 250 watts per channel, but tested over 300 watts per channel. Unit is in excellent condition mechanically as well as cosmetically. Adcom GFA-5800 2 Channel MOSFET Stereo Amplifier 250 watts per ch SOUNDS GREAT the amps sound great , clear , loud, tight bass, excellent all around hi-watt amplifier for any speakersthis amp is a beast weight almost 60 pounds with 250 watts per channel! BUT! the power button is in the ON position all the time, does not turn off. This seems to be a common issue with this switch, we had it in a timed power conditioner to wait on my tube preamp to warm up, so never a problem. I believe the switch is available and an easy repair. The amp shows some wear, some scuffs here and there, but no major flawsThe amp is very clean inside and out.....please see all photos. TERMS OF SALE: guaranteed great sounding amp, on-off switch is ON all the time, has some normal wear as noted and photographed.

I remeasured all of these outputs as Mosfets must match perfectly. Replaced lock washers with thr correct spring washers on T03 outouts. Bias reset and offset set to nearest to 0 as possible. This amplifier is a very powerful amazing sounding amplifier now! Be confident that it had been serviced and back to the manufactures original specifications. Tryed to better heatsinking as this is biggest battle on this huge mosfet amps. On May-21-24 at 05:19:52 PDT, seller added the following information: This amplifier is working order with ZERO issues.
