An elderly neighbor had these in the garage for years and gifted them to me when I helped him move. He wasnt sure these amps still worked, and Ive only recently gotten help testing them out. A friend who knows more about audio equipment helped me set them up according to the manual. They both power on, but no sound can be heard from the speakers. The unit fundamentally works, in that it plays audio, but the sound quality is somewhat distorted. A recap service is likely needed to have this unit perform as it should. FOR SALE: One pair of used Adcom GFA-565 mono-block power amplifiers (2 units). Both amplifiers were professionally serviced in 2018 to repair damage caused by leaking capacitors (a common problem for this particular model). These amplifiers were the second of two pairs used in my home stereo and theater systems for many years (hence numbers 3 and 4 in the photos; units 1 and 2 were sold earlier in 2023 via eBay). Serial numbers are 014215063 (Amplifier #3) and 951211927 (Amplifier #4). These units will only be sold as a pair. Both amplifiers are fully functional, sound wonderful, and are being offered for sale as-is. Please read my specific comments and descriptions of the subject amplifiers below. Appearance: Cosmetically, both units have blemishes and scratches (normal wear and tear) due to frequent use and movement in/out of various home stereo and theater configurations over the years, but are considered above-average (7 to 7.5 out of 10) for their age. I will send additional close-up photos of both units upon request. Sound and Performance: I have used these amplifiers with a pair of NHT 2.9 tower loud speakers. Sonically, both amplifiers sound excellent and have performed very well since being professionally serviced in 2018. Please note Amplifier #4 does make (actually the speaker connected to Amplifier #4 emits) a momentary static pop when that unit is initially powered on (the noise/sound Im trying to describe is audibly louder than when powering on Amplifier #3 or a similar high-current power amplifier), which could indicate an issue with the main power switch or circuit. I have not sought professional service for this unit, as it does not affect the audio performance of Amplifier #4 once powered on and in use (nor am I a professional qualified to diagnose what the actual cause of this might be). Specifications: A photo of amplifier specifications is attached, and a copy of the original owners and service manuals will be provided to the winning bidder. Up for sale is a complete set of Adcom GFA-565 amplifiers and GFP-565 pre-amplifier. They come in the orignal boxes along with a manual for each unit and an Adcom pamphlet style advertisement featuring the unit. The amplifiers are untested, as I do not have any speakers of compatible wattage. They both power on. The pre-amp is in working condition as far as I can tell, and I have been using it with my record player without issue. I am not an expert in high fidelity audio equipment and cant certify the performance of these units. They are sold as is, so please consider that these may need servicing to meet your expectations and ask any questions you have before bidding.

They are in excellent condition. I have used them to power a pair of Dahlquist DQ10s. They are great for power hungry speakers - 300 watts each. Selling as a pair.
