Acoustic Research AR-2AX Speakers One Owner!!! Up for sale is a pair of Acoustic Research AR-2AX Speakers. - Model : AR-2AX - Maker : Acoustic Research - Serial Number : AX 31225 / AX 31235 As the photos show, they are in fair to good conditions for age. There are scratches and nicks. I did not open the speaker grills because I was concerned that the grills would be damaged when I opened them. The speakers seem to be working well, but after checking the woofers using a flashlight, it appears that the woofers surround foams need to be replaced. Therefore, I am selling the speakers on an AS-IS conditon for repair/parts. Please look at all the pictures for an over all condition, before bidding. 1 (single) OEM original 8 Acoustic Research Woofer for the AR28B Speakers. Not a knock off woofer. Heavy gauge steel basket with oversized square magnet from the days of the high quality AR line. This woofer has been professionally re-foamed with the proper surround attached to the inside of the cone just like from the factory. No messy glue stains or splotches. Cone/surround edge properly sealed to prevent seperation. Original plastic trim ring included and fastened to basket edge. No rubbing voice coil, woofer tested and working as designed. This woofer may also substitute to other AR28 designations as well as AR18 designations but please confirm before ordering. Packed to arrive safely and shipped quickly. 100% positive feedback seller!
