Later it stood idle for approx. 10 years. It was now put into operation on a trial basis and appears to be in absolute excellent condition. The inside of the rotor unit is completely dry and free of any corrosion. Only the plunger for the zenith adjustment shows isolated spots of corrosion, however this does not affect its function or that of the associated seals. For restoring to an absolute perfect condition, the plunger could be revised or replaced by a replica, but this is not necessary from the point of view of the seller. Only the cloth sleeve for the plunger is damaged and unusable (hence the corrosion on it), but still in good enough condition to serve as a template for making a replica. Please check the pictures.
