Lot #AAD: 45 Used Normal Bias Cassette Tapes Sold As Blanks - Brands Include Maxell, TDK, Fuji, BASF, Memorex, Sony, Scotch - SOLD AS-IS There are 45 previously used, normal bias audio cassette tapes in this lot. Its possible that a few were not used. Please see the photos for more specific information like the brands, models and lengths included. Im offering these tapes for recording whatever you like over whatever may be recorded on the tapes now. Some of the cassettes may have the safety tabs removed, but most do not. The cassettes were made in Japan and elsewhere. I did not test any of these cassettes. They are being sold as-is. I expect that most will work just fine, but it is possible that some could be defective in some way. I did inspect them and most of the cassettes do look good and their pressure pads were still in place. Most of the cases seem good, but some cases may be cracked or broken. A few cases are a little dirty. Most of the cases have some amount of scuff wear. This batch of cassettes will be packed well for safe shipping. -------------------------------------------------------What To Do If A Tape Doesnt Play Well: If you play a lot of old audio cassette tapes, you probably already know this. The cassettes are little machines and machines sometimes need a little maintenance. FAST FORWARD/REWIND: Before playing an old cassette for the first time, its a good idea to make sure the tape on the spools is wound evenly. Its a good idea to fast forward the tape all the way to the end and then rewind it all the way to the beginning to eliminate unevenness in the tape on the reel. If you dont do this for every cassette, at least do it if the tape seems to be dragging when played. PRESSURE PAD MAINTENANCE: The felt pressure pad beneath the tape at the center of the cassette plays a role beyond its size. Always inspect the cassette to make sure the pressure pad is in place and aligned properly. Sometimes youll know the pressure pad has come loose because the tape just doesnt sound good when being played. The adhesive that holds the pad on the metal spring can let go after a while. The vibrations and jolts involved in shipping cassettes in the mail can help loosen pressure pads that are just barely hanging on. If the pressure pad has come loose, find a pair of tweezers and some glue. (If the pressure pad is lost, you might have to find one to use in an old useless cassette.) Use something flat (like one of the tweezer levers) to lift the leader tape up enough to get it out of the way. Hold the pad with the tweezers with the non-felt side down. Apply a very small amount of glue to the non-felt side of the pad and carefully place the pad on the tension spring where it belongs. Press lightly and fuss with the pad a bit to get it aligned properly. I bought it will a pair of floor standing but never used it. I went with a Yamaha Sound Projector instead because I decided I did not want to crawl under the house, drill through the floors and run wires to the rear and side speakers. This has been stowed in the original box with all the original paperwork in a non smoking air conditioned home since then. Retail in 2002 was $351 An E-series bookshelf speaker system designed by Phil Jones. It is equipped with two 11.4 cm cone woofers. This unit is aad custom-made unit. It uses a special high-tech corn material with a special molecular structure in which aluminum and polypropylene are mixed. The 2.5cm soft dome tweeter is carried. The silk diaphragm is adopted as a diaphragm. In addition, a chamber with acoustic damping is provided at the back, and by combining this with the pole piece, the frequency response of the tweeter is made smoother. Magnetic shield design.
