Hello & Welcome. Up for your consideration is this 1957 8 ohm 9762M Phillips Coaxial full range speaker. Works well & sounds great. Whizzer cone has some deformation & there is a small tear on woofer cone (See pics) I did not want to repair the tear because I opted to let the new owner do so to their satisfaction. AD 1256/M8 is Philips largest (at the time) fullrange dual cone (whizzer) loudspeaker. It was introduced in 1969 as the successor to the AD 5200M. Made in the Netherlands. Similar to the US (Norelco 9762M). The cone.This is the version with the specific color of the Philips cones. Black coated roller rim behind. The gasket is made of cork. Magnetic system.The magnet system has an AlNiCo magnet and a specially shaped center pole with a copper cap.These speakers have stainless steel bolts that do not break. Fs 48 HzNominal impedance 8 ?Sensitivity 98 dB/W/m Rated power output 30 W Think speakers belonged to a painter. Not just the speckles on the front. But the edge of the speaker was sealed with acrylic sealant. Sealant is hygroscopic and formed some rust on the basket.Removed the sealant and rust and blackened the outside edge.
