This is virtually a 4B-SST with favored metal-can power transistors.

Bryston 4Be (NRB) for sale. The “e” stands for engineering and was the early model of the NRB vintage before the NRB name was introduced. They are the same circuit wise, however there are a very small number of the “e” models produced according to Bryston’s James Tanner. This amp is in fantastic condition. The 3 blemishes it has are so minor they are barely visible. I tried to capture them on camera. It has never been used professionally like many of these were. It’s been my personal amp for a long time and I can say more than it’s “tested and working”. Everything works perfectly. Both channels are working equally and have no hum or noise. I’ve played music for 8-10 hours before and it never skips a beat. It’s never needed service since I’ve owned it and is frequently cleaned inside so it can efficiently dissipate heat. Upgraded Bryston 3B amplifier and Bryston 0.4B preamplifier. Both units are working with not issues. Now what was upgraded:Amplifier power supply capacitors were replaced for top quality Mundorf caps, all electrolytic caps on the amp boards were replaced for 105 KZM long life caps, bias were adjusted to Bryston specifications. All electrolytic caps were replaced. Two main resistors on the main board were replaced for even tighter tolerance 1%.Preamp: all electrolytic caps were replaced using KZM 105 caps. Power supply caps were replaced for top quality Mundorf caps like the amplifier. These units are ready for 20 years more with not issues. Best offer will get them. I will start with a low bid. Pre-owned in perfect working condition. (Remanufactured by Bryston c.2016) Vintage Bryston 4B 250w Professional Power Amplifier- Balanced XLR and TRS inputs - Serial # 412641 HISTORY Owned by my father who did live sound for decades. He is retiring from being a sound man all his life and Im helping him sell off some of his equipment. This Bryston 4B was sent out directly to Bryston in 2016 to be gone over and remanufactured. This was a $500 charge alone to have the capacitors updated, the output transistors changed, etc..and given a clean bill of health. (see last picture of receipt) Since the update, this 4B has been sitting in storage for a few years and has seen little use. CONDITION Condition wise, this beast of an amp is in good overall condition with a few scuffs mainly to the top of the unit from sliding this in and out of an equipment rack. The face plate is in very good condition for its age with only a few minor blemishes. All heat sink fins are in tact with no broken edges. This amp is fully operational and is ready to go into your professional audio setup immediately.
