The 12E1 Tetrode has some similar characteristics to the venerated KT88. The pins connection of the 12E1 are identical to the KT88, with the exception that pin 3 on the KT88 is the Anode, whereas the Anode connection on the 12E1 is the Top cap. Two 12E1 in push-pull output 70 watts is possible. All four have brown bakelite bases and are the large brown plate type with two getter rings. All test excellent and closely matched. Have tested on my AVO 163. Vf=6.3v, Vg=-18.0v, Va=150v, Vs=150v, Tube1) Ip=110mA, gm=9.0mA/V, Tube2) Ip=110mA, gm=9.2mA/V, Tube 3) Ip=110mA, gm=6.0mA/V, Tube4) Ip=100mA, gm=9.2mA/V. The S11E12 tube was a Special Quality Beam Tetrode and is a quality version of the 12E1, however without the Top Cap. Has the same pin connections as the popular KT88 and with a simple re-bias I have substituted for the KT88 making a great alternative to its similar cousin.  Although clearly marked ITT Made In England I would suggest the S11E12 has been manufactured by STC and with cross-licensing agreements, I would suggest these are STCc rebadged as ITT. All four are the large black plate type with dual-getter rings. All test excellent and closely matched. A Mazda 12E1 CV345 valve with gray plates, silver rods, clear top and twin rectangle getters. Tested very good. The valve has been tested on the Amplitrex AT1000 and the test results are shown in the photos. Please read the condition section as this forms part of the description. Unpacked weight is 0.075 kg. Note on the gas test reading from the user manual for the tester:In the case of small pre-amp valves anything more the 0.1 milliampere will likely cause problems. With a power tube the interpretation must be different. Power tubes typically show a few milliamperes of gas induced current increase, even if they are good. This is because in these tubes, plate temperatures are generally much higher and there is more surface area on the plate and other tube components which naturally outgas somewhat as it heats up. Also, because these tubes operate with several tens of milliamperes, or even over 100 milliamperes, a few mA of gas current is ok. With power tubes, a gas-induced current increase of less than 10% of normal plate current is ok in most application circuits. For UK Shipping.
