This is a professionally refurbished and serviced mint condition D7000-1 Transoceanic. This is a very clean and well cared for radio. The cabinet condition is close to perfect. Side panels in excellent condition. Comes with log book, original power cord, earphone and dust cover . Dial and chart lights work. Battery box has no corrosion. Antenna in perfect condition. Refurbishing process consists of the following items:Clean outside cabinet.Repair the broken internal dial window tabs. All D7000 radios have this problem where the internal metal tabs break off and float around inside the cabinet.Replace all 12 of the failure prone electrolytic caps with modern equivalent or better ratings. Absolutely necessary on a 50 year old vintage radio.Check dial calibration and operation on all bands. Precision signal generator used. Adjust as required.Adjust the FM and AM IFs with a sweep generator.All controls, slide switches, transistor sockets and band switch cleaned with contact cleaner. No scratchy volume control.Lubricate tuning shaft.Verified operation on all bands for sensitivity. All controls and functions verified.

This Zenith Royal RD7000Y transoceanic is very clean. It does work properly. The FM stations sound nice and clear. I do not have a power cord.

Just got this and I had to fabricate a cord out of one I had. The buyer can have this one I messed with. It works and picks up stations on numerous of the different bands. It has some scuzzy white stuff that you see sometimes on old radios but the connections all appear to work fine. It has two different model numbers RD on the bottom label and just D on the inside cover. It’s not perfect but the antennae is good and it opens shuts fine. It is all there but the maps and the original cord. On those top bands where they say weather marine& amateur the roll on the inside of the tuner is a little bowed in. Look at the pics close please. It should Clean up pretty good. Never mind the next paragraph. Zenith Trans Oceanic 11 Band Radio Royal D7000Y. No power cord (I tested it with a cord that was sold with another radio). Sounds good but does have some slight static in the controls including the volume. The handle and top plate has previous owner markings engraved. The RF Gain dial is missing its silver center cap and the black vinyl side material has some waviness. Please see all the close up photos.

Near Mint Zenith Trans•Oceanic Royal D7000Y Solid State Portable. Really this thing looks like it was stored in a ziplock bag. I barely wiped it off for the pictures. Sounds and looks fully functional, other than dial light. Battery compartment looks undisturbed with perfect instructions and headphones. Antenna didn’t look like it had ever been extended. Pretty much unused condition. Includes two manuals and the original paper tag. Original brass ownership tag where you can proudly engrave your name below “Trans Oceanic” had never been out of the envelope! Have the box too, but it’s toast… Ships with insurance.
