This motor came in from a TEAC TASCAM Model 44 that had seen very low usage (we have the headblock in a separate listing) but had a number of issues that made it an uneconomic refurbishment candidate. I am supplying this without a servo PCB, as I cant warrant the board as there are multiple power supply electronic failures associated with motor failure that can take out a servo board on first connection and I cannot control what happens during motor installation. The motor of course is warranted to perform as described. If you need a pulley, please let me know the diameter that your need and Ill see if I can find you one. If you need the rectangular mounting plate, or some screws, let me know also. No additional charge for any motor installation parts that I have available. This example, from lot ending 3750 is in excellent condition, with negligible brush life used. The photo of the brushes is before I cleaned that area. The brushes havent yet worn in to a curve to match the commutator, because this is so little used. The commutator was cleaned, old lube removed, new applied and bearings aligned. It runs very smootly drawing about the lowest no-load current I have seen, another mark of low use. Please see the screen shots of the very smooth tach output at 10v and 20v input voltages - note tach output voltages and frequencies in the data block in the lower left corner. 10V input runs the motor unloaded so as to generate an approximate 1kHz tach output and 20V generates approximately 2kHz. The actual values arent critical. They just need to be in the ballpark so the servo circuit can function correctly and you can set the speed using a calibration tape. In addition, I invite you to check in with me on your troubleshooting steps that led you to decide you needed a replacement motor before purchase. Bottom line is that you really need to de-solder the power wires from the servo PCB and check the motor directly connected to a DC supply, even just a 9V battery and, if the motor runs, check the tach output on your scope before you can confirm the motor needs replacement. My technical support is free before and after purchase. An unnecessary motor purchase is not. It is worth noting that TEAC supplied several different motors with the EM1446 part number. They all function the same and are fully interchangeable. They are a direct replacement for the EM1450, which is used on various TASCAM decks where there is not sufficient room to install an EM1449. If you have an application in mind where an EM1446 / EM1450 is not fitted, but the motor is 24V DC, let me know - Id be happy to help you decide on compatibility.
