Classic, Czech built, German designed belt drive turntable. Represents a substantial upgrade in bearing and tonearm over the earlier TD 280 models. Cast alloy platter on alloy sub-platter; bearing, motor and tonearm all directly mounted into wooden plinth, supported by damped feet. Motor is a 24 pol synchronous motor AC model. TP 28 tonearm with suspended anti-skating weight, fitted with a Technic AT95e moving magnet cartridge. Output to phono/RCA plugs with groundwire. Manual cueing, as the semi auto function is not working.Moving the speeds with to 33 or 45 and pressing start switches the motor on. Arm is raised and cued manually with arm lift.All in good working order. Tonearm has good bearings, anti-skating works fine- simple swinging counterweight type. Equipped with Audio Technica moving magnet cartridge. Main bearing is smooth and silent; motor runs virtually silently and gets to operating speed almost immediately. Belt is new from Audio Improvements.The power supply adaptor is-standard original is a 16VAC 150mA unit.Deck itself is in very good cosmetic condition, plinth is virtually unmarked, as is tonearm. Lid has a chip on the extreme right side, and some light scratches and polishing marks. Setting up is easy: balance the tonearm by screwing/unscrewing the counterweight on the stub, set the calibrated ring to zero, turn counterweight to required tracking force (around 2g). Set anti-skating to the same mass by moving the nylon loop along the calibrated bar at the rear of the tonearm. Riemenbegrenzer Thorens TD280 MK II. Der Riemenbegrenzer wurde von mir konstruiert und an den Thorens TD 280 MKII angepasst. Er passt ev. auch auf andere Thorens-Geräte mit demselben Antriebsrad. Auch ich hatte das Problem, dass auch der NEUE Antriebsriemen nach oben hin runtergerutscht ist. Mit dem Riemenbegrenzer wird dies nach oben hin verhindert. Ich persönlich hatte nie das Problem, dass der Riemen nach unten wegrutscht. Daher verhindert dieser Riemenbegrenzer NUR das Wegrutschen nach oben. Sie müssen den Riemenbegrenzer fest bis zum Anschlag auf das schwarze Transportrad draufdrücken. Versand aus Österreich!! Versand nach Deutschland: 3 Euro unversichert
