Tascam Studio 8 Model 388 Reel to Reel Tape & 8 Channel Mixer (Spares or Repair) Hi and welcome to this listing for the above vintage Tascam Studio 8. As cliche as it is- If youre reading this then youll know what youre looking at so Ill spare that part! Obtained in a salvage job lot, its in fair cosmetic condition and appears more or less complete. Ive not opened it up personally nor have I attempted to power it on so it is to be assumed it could be faulty and is listed as spares and repairs/for refurbishment. As Im sure those reading will be aware, with equipment of this age, it is best to replace power supply/filtering capacitors as a precautionary measure before attempting to power up but as this (monstrous in size) desk, as gorgeous as it is to look at, wont have a place in my small home studio project, I have decided to leave this for its new owner to take care of who will hopefully bring this beautiful machine back into full health and shining condition to be enjoyed for years to come!
