Started buzzing around 8 years ago and it was put up. Not sure what the issue is, item is being sold as is for parts or repair only with no refunds or returns.

This Sunfire True Subwoofer MkIV is in absolutely OUTSTANDING condition! Both cosmetically and operationally. Whew! That 2700 watts can move some serious air! The Mk IV is an upgrade to the Mk II and the middle child in Sunfires family of active subwoofers. The compact 11 square cube houses two 8 drivers and a 2700 watt amp. The high wattage comes from Carvers nifty little power supply that rises to the occasion, so to speak. Hookup options, volume, crossover and phase control are all available as they should be. The Mk IV sufficiently fills in the bottom end from 40 Hz down to 20 Hz without over-emphasizing the bass range above 40 Hz. With the volume on the sub is properly attenuated, the low end is fleshed out properly and without a lot of boominess. Turn it up a bit and things begin to shake, rattle and fall. Impressive, yes. This thing is capable of moving some air, but fortunately can be reigned in to add just the right touch of natural low end. Most impressive was the speed and tight control. Shipping to US ONLY

Bob Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer Super Junior. 8” 1500 watt in Rosewood finish. I believe it is circa 2006, that’s the newest date I could find inside the cabinet. This item is technically working; though I’m listing it as “ for parts or repair” because it should be repaired to be back to its former glory. The rosewood cabinet is in beautiful condition. There are fine scratches that could buff out. There are no major blemishes on the cabinet. It is missing both the front and rear grills. The unit works, but there has always been a slight hum at low volumes ever since I’ve owned it. It has sat for a long time not used in my sun/theater room. Unfortunately in direct sunlight. Just recently I noticed the surround on the active woofer has split ( likely from the direct sunlight). The caps to me look like they have never been serviced but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve always loved this little subwoofer and if it doesn’t sell I’ll likely just have it repaired and keep it forever. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
