Background Technics 360 series of separates were excellent home audio products. Six 360 systems were released by Technics in 1991. This amplifier was included in the top of the range CD X90 system. This excellent (and heavy) amplifier has brushed steel black fascia to compliment the other components of the 360 series range. I feel personally 1991 was probably the last great year of Technics consumer Hi Fi products, before the company tried desperately to adapt to the changing face of the evolving digital world. This desperation soon resulted in poorer quality components being used, and therefore more sub-standard products being supplied, which ultimately tarnished their excellent reputation in this field.
