All Stax headphones require a Stax energizer (or 100% compatible). This is a very dependable model and was the flagship model for many years. This model has inputs on the front for (2) sets of Pro Stax Headphones (5-pin), which are the higher end of their headphones. Ich löse eines meiner Stax-Sets auf und biete Ihnen daher hier einen Stax SRA-12S Kopfhörerverstärker an. Dieser verfügt ab Werk über zwei Normal-Bias-Ausgänge; damit auch Pro-Bias-Kopfhörer mit 580V Bias-Spannung mit dem Verstärker betrieben werden können, wurde einer der beiden Ausgänge vom deutschen Stax-Spezialisten Inexxon Audio auf Pro Bias umgestellt, sodass nun sämtliche jemals auf den Markt gekommenen Stax-Kopfhörer damit betrieben werden können. Der SRA-12S ist ein Geheimtipp für den Betrieb von Lambdas, die an diesem Verstärker ihre klanglichen Stärken hinsichtlich Klangfarben und Luftigkeit in ganz besonderer Weise ausspielen können. Auch mit den älteren SR-Modellen (wie bspw. dem SR-5 Gold Black, den ich in einem parallel laufenden Inserat anbiete), den Gammas und den Sigmas passt es klanglich ganz ausgezeichnet. Weniger empfehlen würde ich den Verstärker dagegen für den SR-007, der ein noch leistungsstärkeres Speiseteil benötigt. Der SRA-12S befindet sich in einem außerordentlich guten optischen Zustand und funktioniert einwandfrei. Er wurde im Juli 2020 in technisch überarbeiteten Zustand (inkl. Umstellung eines Ausgangs auf Pro Bias) von Inexxon Audio an einen HiFi-Bekannten von mir verkauft, von dem ich den Verstärker später erworben habe. Anfang Januar 2024 war das Gerät bei Andreas Rauenbühler (High-Amp) zur Reparatur und hat einen neuen, absolut brummfreien Trafo bekommen.
