You are looking at a genuine Sony PS-LX250 fully automatic turntable. From the higher end of Sonys budget friendly offerings in the 90s, this has some nice features for the pricepoint. Fully automatic, with the lid down you can start, stop, lift and drop the arm from the buttons at the front. Auto arm return at the end of a record. Size adjustment to play 7 and 12 with the auto feature. Moving magnet cartridge with replaceable stylus (no horrid ceramic cartridges here). Styli can still be bought on eBay for around 12. Lid has a couple of minor scratches from storage, but fairly commensurate with age. The previous owner has installed a little knob on the front of the dust cover to make opening it easier. Theyve done a decent little job of it, I had to look twice at first to make sure it wasnt a standard thing. Nice turntable that plays well, spins at the right speeds from testing and sounds fine. All the auto functions do what they should. Ive not changed the stylus so if you have precious or expensive records Id probably recommend changing it for a new one just in case.
